The CJ line of Jeeps was introduced by Willys in 1944 with the CJ2. The CJ stands for Civilian Jeep since until then the only Jeeps where the ones used in the Military. Throughout the years they came out with different versions of the CJ model Jeep each with minor upgrades. Then in 1976 they came out with the CJ7, compared to the CJ5 model it replaced it had a slightly longer wheel base.
